The Journal was founded in 2002 jointly by the State Institution “V.Danilevsky Institute for Endocrine Pathology Problems of National Academy of Medical Science of Ukraine”, National Academy of Medical Science and Ministry of Health of Ukraine (certificate of state registration No. КВ 5081 dated 11 February, 2002).

The Editor-in-Chief is Director of the State Institution “V. Danilevsky Institute for Endocrine Pathology Problems of National Academy of Medical Science of Ukraine”, Corresponding Member of NAMS of Ukraine, Doctor of Science (Medicine), Professor Yuriy Ivanovich Karachentsev.

The Journal is aimed at a wide range of readers (doctors, scientists, teachers and medical students). It is published quarterly presenting material connected with:
кнопка clinical research on pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of endocrine diseases and comorbidities;
кнопка results of experimental studies on physiology and pathophysiology of endocrine system;
кнопка development, biological and clinical testing of novel drugs;
кнопка - literature reviews and lectures on topical issues in endocrinology.

The Journal publishes articles submitted both by Ukrainian and foreign authors. The manuscript submitted to the Editorial Board is subject to be peer-reviewed. The Editorial Board includes experts from Ukraine, Albania, Azerbaijan, Germany, Georgia, Poland and Russia.

The Journal is included in the List of academic editions of Ukraine, which are allowed to publish the results of works on medicine and biology.

The journal is indexed in international scientometric databases Index Copernikus and Google Scholar and Crossref, included in the international databases Ulrich's Periodicals Directory and Science Index. Since 2004 the Journal has been entered in database of publications that are reviewed by Russian Institute of Scientific and Technical Information. The issue is processed and displayed in the Ukrainian abstract journal "Jerelo".
