Both patients with chronic heart failure in essential hypertension and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and patients with concomitant type 2 diabetes mellitus showed higher levels of plasma type IV collagen autoantibodies in comparison to healthy controls. Type IV collagen antibodies correlated with dilation of the left ventricle and reduction of its contractility. Elevation of plasma type IV collagen autoantibodies is associated with progression of chronic heart failure in arterial hypertension combined and chronic obstructive pulmonary with and without type 2 diabetes mellitus.</p>}, number={1}, journal={Problems of Endocrine Pathology}, author={Dielievska, V.
