Abstract

It were studied the levels of sex hormones, homocysteine and cholesterol levels in 46 men with pathospermia aged 22–45 and 11 healthy men of the same age. It was found that men with idiopathic infertility observed increase in homocysteine level in the blood, which does not depend on the level of estradiol and values of testosterone-estradiol ratio. It was shown that hyperhomocysteinemia is an independent factor that exacerbates the violation of spermatogenesis in men with idiopathic pathospermia. It was a positive correlation between the levels of cholesterol and homocysteine as in healthy and in infertility men. It was found that the decrease in the quantities of testosteroneestradiol ratio is a predictor of hypercholesterolemia in the formation of blood, which adversely affects spermatogenesis in men with idiopathic pathospermia.
