Abstract

The content of adiponectin in obese persons was studied. The relationship between insulin resistance and reduced adiponectin concentrations in patients regardless of gender and age has been shown. Evidence is provided that micro- and macrosomies are additional risk factors for low levels of adiponectin in obese individuals.
