Olexander Kozakov

Deputy director for scientific and organizational work, head of the Laboratory of epidemiology of endocrine diseases and organizations of specialized assistance of the State Institution "V. Danilevsky for Endocrine Pathology Problems of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine", Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor, Honored Doctor of Ukraine.

 

Oleksandr Kozakov, born in 1957, in 1980 graduated medical faculty of the Kharkiv Medical Institute. After that studied at the clinical at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Ukrainian Institute for the Advancement of Doctors and internship-doctor of the 11th city clinical hospital.

In 1982, he entered the postgraduate course of the Ukrainian Institute for the Advancement of Doctors, which he successfully completed and defended his thesis on "Psychophysioautotraining in the management and management of physiological pregnancy and the threat of its termination" to obtain the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences. After completing postgraduate course, he worked as an assistant at the Department of Oncology and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the same institute.
From August 1999 to the present, he has been working at the State Institution "V. Danilevsky for Endocrine Pathology Problems of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine".

He is the author and co-author of 207 scientific papers.

Olexandr Kozakov is a member of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes Mellitus, the International Diabetes Federation, the Board of the Association of Endocrinologists of Ukraine.

Olexandr Kozakov is Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the journal "Problems of Endocrine Pathology", member of the editorial board of the specialized journal "International Endocrinological Journal ".

Takes an active part in the organization and holding of scientific and practical conferences for endocrinologists, therapists, general practitioners-family medicine, pediatricians, cardiologists, neuropathologists and other specialists.

Main areas of activity: coordination of organizational and methodological activities of the Institute on health care of endocrine patients in the regions of Ukraine supervised by the Institute; development of proposals to improve medical and preventive care for residents of these regions; participation in the preparation of projects of materials for boards and meetings, orders of the Ministry of Health and the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine; organization and holding of scientific and practical conferences, symposia, etc.
