The aim of the work was to assess the hormonal imbalance in women with chronic inflammation of the genital organs against the background of drug abuse. The results of the study of sex, gonadotropic and stress-associated hormones in women with chronic inflammatory diseases of the genital organs caused by sexually transmitted infections against the background of drug abuse (n=40) are presented. Control groups consisted of women without chronic genital infections, but with drug abuse (n=40), and conditionally healthy women of the appropriate age (n=40).
Results and conclusions. It was determined that the examined women of the main group have menstrual cycle disorders, which are clinically more often manifested in the form of amenorrhea and acyclic uterine bleeding and are accompanied by impaired biosynthesis of both pituitary hormones, which provide cyclic gonadotropic regulation of menstrual function, and impaired biosynthesis of ovarian hormones, which, despite the biphasic cycle, have pronounced changes in their levels. The effect of stressors on the body of the examined women is accompanied by an increase in the concentration of stress-associated hormones Prolactin and Cortisol. The inflammatory process at the level of the genital organs in women with this pathology is accompanied by inflammation of the orbit and its appendages, cornea and conjunctiva, which may be associated with a systemic decrease in immunity. It is necessary to develop a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach in the treatment of women with chronic inflammatory diseases caused by sexually transmitted infections who abuse narcotic drugs or potent medical drugs.
