MORPHOLOGICAL AND BIOCHEMICAL INDEXES OF SEMEN IN MALE PATIENTS WITH DIABETES MELLITUS

Estimation of the sperm parameters and measurement of sex hormones levels were performed in 35 men with diabetes mellitus. The data obtained revealed the negative changes of morphological and biochemical parameters in sperm of males with diabetes compared with the control group, and more significant changes were observed in patients with type 2 diabetes. The changes revealed, except to reduce % of active motility spermatozoa, were within the normal range recommended by WHO.
