THE USE OF CEFACEL IN THE TREATMENT OF CHRONIC AUTOIMMUNE THYROIDITIS

The levels of specific autoantibodies to thyroperoxidase and thyroglobulin were studied in 40 patients with chronic autoimmune thyroiditis before and after treatment with sodium selenite (Cefasel 200 μg per day). Treatment with Cefasel for three months against the background of levothyroxine therapy caused a significant decrease in the level of antibodies to thyroperoxidase and thyroglobulin.
