Abstract

The paper presents the results of combined treatment of hypertension in patients with type 2 diabetes, complicated by diabetic nephropathy. It was found that antihypertensive therapy with lisinopril dihydrate with amlodipine improved the stiffness of the vascular wall and contributed to a decrease in the rate of pulse wave propagation in the aorta. It is proved that against the background of complex antihypertensive therapy, the decrease in vascular stiffness correlates with the improvement of the state of other target organs. At the same time, the improvement of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism was noted, which confirms the close relationship between hypertension and type 2 diabetes.
