The article defines the state of electrolyte metabolism and the level of correlation of its indicators (potassium, sodium, chlorine) with the level of insulin-like growth factor-1 somatomedin (IGF-1) in the blood of patients with arterial hypertension and with the combined course of arterial hypertension and diabetes mellitus type 2. Goal. To determine the state and level of relationship between indicators of electrolyte metabolism and the level of somatomedin IGF-1 in the blood of men and women with arterial hypertension and with the combined course of arterial hypertension and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
Materials and methods. To solve the set tasks, 120 people were examined, of which 100 were sick and 20 practically healthy people of the control group. The study was conducted at the clinical base of the Department of Internal Medicine № 3 and Endocrinology of the Kharkiv National Medical University in Kharkiv Regional Clinical Hospital.
Results and their discussion. A correlation-regression analysis was performed between indicators of electrolyte metabolism and the level of somatomedin IGF-1 in the blood of men and women according to the degree of arterial hypertension. It was noted that the average values of all indicators of electrolyte metabolism in the second group were lower than in the first group. The hypothesis that parameters of electrolyte metabolism and the level of somatomedin IGF-1 are markers of complications of arterial hypertension has been confirmed. The highest average level of IGF-1 in the blood was observed in the group of patients with the combined course of arterial hypertension and type 2 diabetes mellitus. A statistically significant correlation was found in the second group among women with arterial hypertension of the II stage between the level of IGF-1 and the level of sodium in the blood.
Conclusions. The state and level of relationship between indicators of electrolyte metabolism and the level of somatomedin IGF-1 in the blood of men and women with arterial hypertension and with the combined course of arterial hypertension and type 2 diabetes mellitus were determined. The presence of relationships between indicators of electrolyte metabolism and the level of somatomedin IGF-1 in the blood of patients with arterial hypertension and with the combined course of arterial hypertension and type 2 diabetes mellitus was noted. The obtained results substantiate the need for further monitoring of electrolyte metabolism and IGF-1 somatomedin levels among patients with arterial hypertension and with the combined course of arterial hypertension and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
