THE PROTECTIVE IMPACT OF ESTRADIOL DERIVATIVE PE0607 ON METABOLIC MANIFISTATIONS DEVELOPMENT OF INSULIN RESISTANCE SYNDROME IN OVARIECTOMIZED RATS FED ON HIGH-FRUCTOSE DIET

The effect of compound PE0607 on the development of metabolic syndrome induced by chronic supplementation with high fructose diet was investigated in rats with estrogen deficiency. It was established that PE0607 administrations improves glucose intolerance, insulin sensitivity, decreases body and visceral fat weights, content of cholesterol, normalizes the concentration of triglycerides and increases production of the nitric oxide. In addition, uterine weight was not affected by compound PE0607 that may decrease the risks of adverse health effects. These results justify the perspectives of compound PE0607 use as the potential agent for the treatment of metabolic disturbances in postmenopausal women.
