Abstract

The effect of 17β-estradiol derivative PE0607 on the development of metabolic syndrome was studied against the background of hyperglycemia induced by a high-fat diet in combination with dexamethasone, in ovarian chtomed rats. It was found that the introduction of the compound PE0607 inhibits the development of basal hyperglycemia, improves insulin sensitivity and carbohydrate tolerance, reduces visceral obesity and hypertriglyceridemia. The obtained results substantiate the expediency of further study of this compound as a potential agent for pharmacological correction of metabolic of personal disorders inherent in postmenopausal metabolic syndrome on the background of diabetes.
