A clinical case of an atypical course of hypothyroidism combined with paroxysmal arterial hypertension in a patient born in 1953 is described. A thorough examination of the patient made it possible to diagnose her with renal artery stenosis, which led to attacks of increased blood pressure with compressed thyroid status. Correctly selected therapeutic correction led to an improvement in the patient's well-being.
